ABOUT US
Foxglove and Ivy is a Micro flower farm located in Bacchus Marsh Victoria. We grow specialty cut flowers for florists and event designers and we offer bouquets and arrangements to our local community.
I am a Farmer Florist using predominantly our own grown flowers, supplementing with other locally sourced blooms from other local growers or wholesalers when we need to.
We also offer DIY buckets for your special event or couples wanting to create some floral magic for their special day with locally grown bee friendly blooms.
Some of the flowers we grow here include Dahlias, Ranunculus, Chrysanthemums , Snapdragons, Stock , Sunflowers, Straw flower and lots of other seasonal flowers and foliages.
My name is Maryanne and I run and operate our little farm. My wonderful husband Brett has a full time job however he supports me whenever needed, especially with all the heavy work ! My wonderful son has also helped Brett out along the way with builds of all our garden beds and my beautiful Flower Cottage. We both have off the farm jobs for the moment but my true passion lies with growing so I would love this to be my full time story.
Our entire property is under 2 acres and around 1/4 acre is set aside for flower growing. The rest of the property contains our home, some shedding and is bordered by beautiful trees and shrubs which are a haven for birds, the birdsong out there is truly amazing. There was already an established Dam on the property when we came here and it is full of life , Turtles have been seen living their best lives in there along with Yabbies , and small fish. Everything grown here is done as sustainably as possible. We continue to strive to constantly improve our soil and the environment in which we live . We have a small orchard of 20 fruit trees which provide us (and the local birds) with plenty of fruit over summer. I was once an avid veggie grower however those beds have nearly all been taken over with flowers now. I will definitely be getting back to the vegetable growing though as there is nothing quite as nice as home grown veg.
I have always dreamed of doing something with our little slice of heaven but it wasn’t until 2019 that I realised how much I truly loved growing flowers and I wanted to share our locally grown flowers with our community. Our flowers have been shared with some local florists as well as the lovely community that we have here. Please feel free to get in touch if you are needing some local grown flowers for your special occasion or even to just enjoy in your home for yourself!
